David brings over 25 years of experience as a Fortune 500 marketing executive, entrepreneur and innovator to his role at Metaforce. He possesses deep expertise in business and brand strategy, product management, performance marketing, digital marketing, social media, CRM, and advertising and media strategy. David has been accountable for over $1B in marketing spend throughout his career at some of the world’s most iconic and successful businesses, building brand and driving demand in complex, competitive categories including consumer electronics, software, online services, telecom and e-commerce. With a reputation as a change agent, David is particularly adept at leading marketing organizations within businesses that are in need of - or in the midst of - major transformation or change.
Previously, David was head of marketing at Amazon Wireless, with executive responsibility for all marketing across Amazon’s retail business in the mobile industry, where he created a number of first-for-Amazon programs in the digital marketing space. David also served as Global Vice President of Marketing at BlackBerry, responsible for all marketing across disciplines, with a particular focus on leveraging new opportunities at the intersection of digital marketing, data and technology, and refining brand strategy & product roadmaps. Previously, he held leadership roles at Publicis Group as EVP of Business and Marketing Strategy, with a focus on building new practice areas in Analytics, CRM and Digital Media, and at Microsoft as Director of Global Marketing for Windows. David began his career in advertising and brand strategy, at Saatchi & Saatchi and Landor Associates, working with such clients as J&J, Comcast, T-Mobile, and others.
